This year, navigating through the pier will be even more demanding due to new regulations implemented by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), requiring passengers from Manila-bound buses to disembark outside the Yellow Gate Entrance. To ensure a hassle-free trip to and from Puerto Galera, we present the following tips:
1. Book Accommodation in Advance: Due to high demand, ensure you have secured a room before heading to Puerto Galera.
2. Coordinate with Your Travel Agent or Hotel Staff: Discuss your travel plans thoroughly with your agent or hotel staff to obtain the necessary QR code for entry into Puerto Galera.
3. Plan Your Land Transport: Allocate ample time for your journey to Batangas Pier, considering potential traffic delays. Arrive at least 2 hours before your ferry departure if you haven’t purchased a ticket online. If you bring a vehicle, this will give you sufficient time to find secure parking at Batangas Pier.
4. Batangas Port Yellow Gate Entrance: If arriving by public bus, proceed directly to the Yellow Gate entrance and avoid offers from vendors, peddlers, and other individuals.
5. Ignore Unnecessary Offers: Disregard individuals urging you to purchase travel insurance for entry. It is not required.
6. Adhere to Security Checks: Cooperate with all security procedures at the pier.
7. Pay Terminal Fee: If you have a ticket, pay the Batangas Port terminal fee.
8. Understand Ferry Policies: Ferries operate on a “first come, first served” basis during Holy Week. Be prepared for departure once the ferry reaches full capacity, disregarding the usual schedule.

13. Arrival in Puerto Galera: Pay the Environmental User Fee (EUF) and arrange for a trike to your resort.
14. Book Return Tickets: Ensure you have a return ticket to Batangas Pier.
15. Departure from Balatero Pier: Arrive at least 1 hour before departure time for your return journey.
